Bush Fire Aid — Delivery of Hay Bales

Brown Hay Stack

Hay to assist bush fire affected farmers in Tumbarumba

Gasworks Car Club member, Ian Manwaring and his wife Barbara, have organised to have over 14 rolls of hay to be purchased from a small Old Junee farmer and to have this delivered directly to a farmer identified by the local Relief Co-ordinator as been severely affected by the recent bush fires in the Tumbarumba area.

A number of other Gasworks Motorsports members have contributed to funding this project and will help cart the hay from Junee to Tumbarumba. All Gasworks Car Club members with H & C Plates are welcome to join Ian and the team in this Club Run — as members on regular plates.

Itinerary

Leaving Junee to Wantabadgery heading over the low level (Mundarlo) bridge to Adelong where we will be stopping for a morning tea break to meet up with Ian Manwaring. The Adelong Café will be open to buy coffee and snacks.

We then head to Batlow and Tumbarumba and will be stopping for lunch at the Tumbafest, there will be food available at the bakery, pubs, café’s and catering vans.

Ian will then be dropping off the hay up past Paddy’s River Flats on the Tooma Road.

Other members can stay for the celebrations of Tumbafest and travel home at their own pace. An alternate way home is to follow the signs to Wagga Wagga and go through Rosewood, Ladysmith and Alfredtown.
