Last weekend, several of our members had the opportunity to volunteer at the AASA event held at Sydney Motorsport Park (formerly Eastern Creek), where we were assigned as flag marshals for the Supercars Series 3. Friday morning was wet and miserable. Huge thanks to Jen Shaw for moving the morning breakfast BBQ to another park with shelter. I was continually checking the road conditions for the Snowy Mountains Highway incase we had to detour. As we headed off we arrived at Tumut where we regrouped then onto Cooma for a snack and a break. We then stopped at the Nimmitabel Bakery for lunch and coffee before setting off to Bombala.
