AASA event in Sydney

Last weekend, several of our members had the opportunity to volunteer at the AASA event held at Sydney Motorsport Park (formerly Eastern Creek), where we were assigned as flag marshals for the Supercars Series 3.

On arrival, Brodie Steven and I were placed at Position 1, helping keep the event running safely. On Saturday, I was moved to Position 2, the famous hairpin corner. It was one of the busiest sections of the circuit, with constant on-track action, leaving little opportunity to even stop and take a photo.

It was a fantastic experience to be involved behind the scenes at such a high-level motorsport event, working alongside officials and contributing to the safe running of the race meeting.

The experience doesn't stop there either. I've taken a week's annual leave to continue with the Supercars Series 3 in Queensland, and I'm looking forward to another exciting week trackside.
