Vintage Speedway and Junior Karts @ Illabo Motorsport Park — March 11, 2023

Saturday, March 11, 2023 saw the first Vintage Speedway and Junior Karts event at Illabo Motorsport Park for the 2023 season.

The weather was PERFECT and we had great turn of drivers and spectators.

We trialed a couple new ideas… including a new route to exit track and new menu items in the Café.

Ben, our photographer, loved the new tractor we recently purchased to allow us to undertake track work prior to events… but he didn’t use it for that — instead it was used a vantage point for taking photos 🙂

The Junior Karts saw four drivers under the age of 15 participate, including two young ladies! We had about 20 minutes left at the end of the day before our event license expired, so the Junior Kart drivers all jumped at the opportunity to grab another dozen or so laps… they’d still be if they were allowed!
