Gasworks Motorsport Inc are now running Khanacross events, under Permits and Insurance provided by AASA.

A Khanacross is an entry level competition for the whole family. Drivers can compete from as young as 12 years old, however they must have a suitably experienced adult in the passenger seat. In addition, juniors must have Parent or Guardian written consent to compete.

Only the Driver, and an approved passenger supplying Instruction to a Novice or Junior driver if applicable, may be in the vehicle whilst competing.

The events are usually run on unsealed surface and the Course/s are designed to improve car control and judgement and hazard perception in a safe environment.

The Course layout is marked by tyres and or arrows, time penalties apply if any of these are struck, these penalties aid in improving driving styles and attitude.

Virtually any vehicle can be used, registration is not required, cars, utes, off-road karts, side by side ATV, if in doubt ask before you buy or enter.

Mandatory Vehicle requirements other than being mechanically sound with effective seat belts, steering and brakes along with road worthy street tyres. Also a 1kg fire extinguisher must be securely mounted within reach of the driver and laminated front windscreen fitted. A helmet fitted with a full visor is required for vehicles without a windscreen.

All competitors must wear ankle to wrist clothing of a non synthetic material and fully enclosed footwear, also a helmet (non motor cross style) to at least Australian standards must be worn whilst on the track.

All competitors must hold an appropriate Motorsport licence and a Club membership.

Gates open: 7:30am for ENTRANTS, 9:30am for Spectators
Cafe Service commences: 8:00am
Volunteers Briefing: 8:45am
Drivers Briefing: 9:15am
Events commence: 10:00am
Lunch Break: approx 12:30pm — 1:30pm (includes Public Pits Inspection)

Invites to Khanacross Drivers will be sent approx 4 weeks in advance of event.
