The inaugural Gasworks Khanacross Event was held at Illabo Motorsport Park on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
We had about a dozen drivers, in approx 8 vehicles attend... and feedback from all the drivers was extremely positive... although both they, and the volunteers, all wished for a slightly cooler day :)
It was also great to see a couple of our regular volunteers from our Vintage Speedway and Karts events be behind the wheel of a vehicle and participating as an entrant. We had young teenage girls and older men, novices and experienced drivers... and everyone in between!
In the morning drivers navigated the "infield track" first going clockwise, and then after a couple of rounds, reversing direction. After lunch, they go to experience the "Outer Track" which incorporates stretches of the main Speedway track along with twists and turns through the back tracks of Illabo Motorsport Park.
[NOTE: The April 19, 2025 Khanacross event has been CANCELLED - we had overlooked that was right in the middle of Easter this year... but don't worry, the next Khanacross event is only a couple of weeks later — Saturday, May 10, 2025]
