Today, Gasworks Motorsport Inc and Illabo Motorsports Park were pleased to start out demonstration calendar with a double feature of Junee Seniors Week and International Womens Day.
The Junee Seniors Festival is an annual celebration dedicated to honoring the contributions and enriching the lives of seniors in the community. In 2025, the festival is scheduled from Saturday, March 8, to Saturday, March 15.
International Women's Day on March 8, 2025, serves as a powerful reminder of the strides women are making in motorsport, highlighting themes of empowerment, equality, and rights. Across various disciplines, women are breaking barriers and inspiring future generations.
We are always pleased to welcome new drivers to our track, and today was no different. Drivers aged from 9 years old battled the heat on our speedway track in karts, vintage and classic midgets, vintage compacts, TV'S and Sedans. It was a delight to see such a variety & have not only men but young girls and ladies on the track, as drivers, track officials and volunteers.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our communities, dedicating their time and energy to causes that enrich society. Their selfless contributions not only address immediate needs but also foster a sense of unity and shared purpose.
