About Canola Gateway Festival

Canola Gateway Festival celebrates Junee’s place at the start of the Canola Trail, bringing together the region’s golden landscapes, railway heritage, food culture and country music into one memorable weekend. The Canola Trail takes in Junee, Coolamon and Temora, making Junee a natural starting point for a Riverina spring road trip.
The 2026 Canola Gateway Festival is a golden weekend of country music, Riverina produce, local makers, family activities and canola-season celebrations in the heart of Junee.
You can start your Canola Trail weekend on the Saturday, with live music at the historic Athenium Theatre (fees apply), then return for a vibrant Sunday festival precinct in Memorial Park.
On Sunday, there will be:
Markets with producers, craft and produce displays, food trucks, and family-friendly activities.
Live Music & Community Performances with acoustic sets, local performances and community entertainment.
Yellow Luncheon: A premium long-lunch style dining experience celebrating Riverina produce. Costs apply
Midday Activities & Entertainment showcasing local talent thrilling us with their inspired dances, crafts, and more.
The Great Lamb Race - a fun community race event to wrap up the festival day.
